In the heat treatment shop, more than 28 car-bottom furnaces and 6 shaft furnaces are at our disposal, covering the entire spectrum of heat treatment processes, ranging from relatively simple annealing to specific temperature-time-sequences.
The chamber dimensions of the (horizontal) car bottom furnaces are 4.5 m in width, 3.45 m in height and 25 m in length. The vertical furnaces reach a diameter of up to 2.15 m and a depth of 12 m. The temperature accuracy of this plant is crucial for the process and guaranteed by means of regular inspections.
Aimed specifically at influencing material properties, the rate of cooling can be varied by a wide range of possibilities, from air cooling and liquid quenching in oil or water through to spray tempering.
In our operations control center, all processes are controlled, monitored and logged.
